Hello everyone! It's been a while since I have written. Ma ma has been busy with her career decision and hasn't been logging on for me to write at all in the past month or so. Not that she hasn't taken me out for walkies! In fact, she takes me out for walkies almost every morning during the week. The weekends have been generally sunny so we have been going out for longer walkies on Saturdays and Sundays.

Take last weekend for example - because of China's National Day, we had a long weekend and I got to see Ma ma at home 3 days in a row! On Saturday, I refused to walk up the stairs so Ma ma took me up to Braemar Hill via the long way round (up Tin Hau Temple Road, then Braemar Hill Road) and it was a very tiring walk. I threw a tantrum on the way back (after my toast breakfast at Cafe R&B), and refused to walk downhill. Ma ma didn't give in though. She threatened to leave me there so I followed her downhill reluctantly. When we go down to Lotus Temple, I ran down the stairs at 10 miles per hour and sped into the park. Ma ma lost sight of me altogether, and was quite embarassed when a stranger (see-lai) walked by and said: "Oh you must be the owner of that dog! Thank god, I thought the dog was lost". Ma ma replied and said "Yes thanks. That dog isn't lost, she ran into the park - that's where she's headed...."

Of course, Ma ma found me loitering in the park, sniffing around, and trying to dodge her stern face when she finally caught up with me.

Oh did I mention that I also scared the hell out of Ma ma over the weekend when I ran UP the stairs at 10miles per hour and ran into the middle of the road to say 'hello' to another dog? I normally behave well and wait for Ma ma at the top of the stairs. Even though Ma ma's legs are long, I beat her up the stairs ever time! When I got to the top of the stairs, I saw a dog on the opposite side of the road. The dog walked half-way (i.e., to the middle of the road) so I thought I should be courteous and meet him half-way. Ma ma was of course furious (but scared!) when she saw me greeting another dog in the middle of the road. She mumbled (fairly loudly) to the other owner that he should have had more sense than to let his dog wander to the middle of the road.... Which is true too, cos I certainly wouldn't have walked into the middle of the road if this other dog hadn't been allowed over in the first place. Though having said that, I think that was probably the last time which Ma ma will let me off leash to walk up those stairs again.

Ma ma seems to be suffering from some pretty serious period syndromes. She was nauseous yesterday and had migraine on both days... poor Ma ma. The only good thing is of course - we get to see Ma ma at HOME on a weekday. Whoopee!!

Ma ma said Jessie is a 'sky-choi' (genius) as she managed to empty our place of anything edible except for dog food. Ma ma wanted to take some pain killers for her migraine today but she could not take it on empty stomach. She searched and searched and searched and there was absolutely nothing she could eat. She had to wait till Jessie was home from her LONG grocery shopping trip and asked her to go out and get her something. If Ma ma trusts me, I could have taken the walk myself and got her some food.... of course I would tax her. No free lunch!

Wow, it's been a very long time since I have written! Ma ma has been lazy has hasn't been switching on her home PC much.

Here are lots of photos. The ones taken today (Sunday) are on the top of the list. If you look closely enough, you will see that I have a new leash on in the photos today. In fact, this is the same pattern as the leash ma ma got me when I was only 6 months old. Jessie threw it away by mistake when we moved homes recently to Tai Hang. The company has stopped producing this pattern a year ago, and ma ma had to beg them to hand-make one for me. I sometimes wonder how ma ma manages to get away with these types of requests...! (The amazing thing was that this company did not charge her extra for this special order)

Ma ma took me and CC out to the usual route this morning. We got up a bit later because it rained the night before and the ground was still wet at 6:30am. So we waited till 8ish to head out. When we got to the stairs leading up to Lai Tak Tsuen, I didn't feel like walking and decided to stand still. Ma ma gave up on me after 10mins and walked around another way instead. I won, I won! ha ha

Ma ma had a really bad migraine round about 4pm today and had to cancel her plan to go to yoga (AGAIN!). Instead she stayed home and we had a nap together. I snuggled up on my own couch at the end of ma ma 's bed and only got up at around 6pm when ma ma woke up to get a drink of water. I immediately took this opportunity to scratch ma ma and lead her to the red cabinet (where my food is kept!). I sat up straight in front of the red cabinet and looked eagerly at ma ma. Even though ma ma had a migraine, she was able to figure out what I was after within seconds. She said: "Ok, mum-mum lah!" and took our bowls out. I learned the word 'mum-mum' from Gung Gung so I knew this meant 'meal time' and ran into our crates at the speed of light.

The cat photo was also taken today. We walked past this stray cat on our way up to Braemar Hill this morning. It was a young kitten who displayed a phenomenal amount of interest in CC. It probably was wondering if CC was a cat too cos they were the same size. Ma ma quickly got her phone out and took a picture of the kitten lying there, staring at CC. Ma ma is very proud of this photo as she kept mumbling on about how the composition is great, the shawdow and lighting is just right and the overall mood was just PERFECT. She kept on mumbling how if she didn't have to work, she would become an animal photographer... yeah right ma ma!

Caught in the rain!

Ma ma forgot to bring her phone today so she didn't take any photos of our outing today. To ensure she had a shot to upload on our blog, Ma ma went and took a picture of me - right before I was bathed.... I hate baths!

Only I got to go today because Ma ma didn't think she could handle both me and CC if something happened. CC always barks and attracts stray and leashed dogs... not something which Ma ma nor I like so we decided to leave her at home with Jessie.

You will see photos of me staring at a piece of toast on the side. There is also someone else in the photos that looks like me but Ma ma says is not as leng lui as me. :)

His name is Ball Ball - which kinda sound like a name that Ma ma sometimes calls me. Ma ma calls me lots of names - "Bee Bee" (as in Bup-Bee-Bee, which is my name in a song that Por Por sings), "Bee Bo" "Bee Bar" "Bee Ball" "Chu Chu"... the list goes on. Ma ma thinks he looks 80% like me, except Ball Ball's nose is longer.

Ma ma was very excited when she saw my lookalike. She asked Ball Ball's owners if they minded her taking a picture. Ball Ball's parents seem to like me too cos they kept on smiling at me.

Gotta go for a nap now - tired after my morning walk. Ma ma did not bathe me today - which means it's highly likely that I will get to go for a proper hike tomorrow!

Hello Everyone, I'm back!

Ma ma has since paid lots of attention to me - she took Monday off work to nurse me and took me to see Dr Lien on Tuesday. I have been out on lots of walkies and hiked both yesterday and today! Though the price I had to pay was Ma ma bathed me on both days! Yuck!

You will see pictures from last week while I was out on my hike. Ma ma's back was aching today so she didn't take any photos for me and CC.

Sunny Saturday

Ma ma got up early this morning and took me and CC out for a hike. We walked up the long stairs to Lai Tak Chuen, then round Yee King Road and Cloud View Road up to Braemar Hill. We hiked around the hills on Sir Cecil's Ride trail, then down the hill to R&B cafe at Braemar Hill shopping centre. Ma ma ordered a toast breakfast set and shared 1/2 of her breakfast with me and CC. We walked for TWO hours today and we are so tired!!! In fact, me and CC went on strike on our way back down the hills. I stood firm under the shade and refused to move, while CC layed down on the ground under the trees and almost went to sleep.

After our morning hike, Ma ma went out with Dai yee ma and Ben Ben to see Ah Jie in Sham Shui Po. Ah Jie and her sister (Tsuen Jie) were both very happy to see Ma ma, Dai yee ma and Ben Ben. Ma ma has been a very good girl and was not tempted to eat any lychees. Ma ma is under Chinese doctor's prescription and is not allowed to eat anything cold or sweet. As for fruits, she is only allowed to eat apple and grapes.

Ma ma said we'll go to bed early tonight so that we can go for another hike tomorrow (Sunday) morning!

Apple and chicken!

Ma ma walked past a fruit store near Morrison Hill yesterday and bought some BIG American apples. These apples are the size of my head so they are pretty big! And crispy too!

As you can see from the photo on the side, both me and CC liked the apples very much. Ma ma normally has 2/3 and leaves 1/3 for us to share.

Today, Ma ma continued to cough like there is no tomorrow and it sounded bad. She left the office at 6pm and finally went to see a Chinese doctor. At her boss' recommendation (Rose), she went to Beijing Tong Ren Tang in Central. She came home and kept on whinging about how expensive it was. She said it costs HKD640 which is twice as much as seeing a doctor at the Sanitorium Hospital. The medicine smells awful - it had better treat Ma ma's coughing otherwise CC and I will go and pooh pooh on their shop front!

After an exciting morning of having apple for breakfast, Jessie cooked some more grilled chicken fillets at Ma ma's request. It smells sooooooooooooo good I could not resist waiting around and trying my luck to beg for some. As Ma ma has already brushed my teeth, she forbidded Jessie from feeding me any chicken. Though in the end, because Ma ma was so touched (or annoyed?) by my sitting and begging, she gave me 2 pieces of crispy grilled chicken. Ma ma is the best!

Quiet day at home

Instead she curled up on our Chinese sofa (day bed) and chatted on the phone with Gung Gung and Por Por for over half an hour. I waited impatiently for her and looked towards the window and front door several times, trying to give her a hint. She didn't get it - or at least she was still chatting away on the phone and did not look like she had any intention of taking me out.

Over the phone, I overheard Ma ma saying to Gung Gung that she will not give me my new chocolates until she is able to eat chocolates herself! Ha! How unfair is that? Ma ma, just because you cannot eat chocs (because you are coughing), you should not make me suffer with you! I think that's what Gung Gung said to Ma ma as well, cos she then said something about how she will give me some if I am good. I will be an EXTRA good girl today in order to hit Ma ma's "good girl index" and get a piece of chocolate. But Ma ma has very high expectations, so I will have to try very hard. Ma ma was coughing and blowing her nose very loudly when she spoke with Gung Gung and Por Por, I hope she doesn't pass any virus to them over the phone!

After the phone call with Gung Gung and Por Por, Ma ma got up off the day bed and brushed her teeth & washed her face. I saw her take her hiking gear out from the wardrobe (Ma ma is very boring, she always wears her Giordano shorts and polo tops). She then sprayed her mosquito repellent (Aeroguard - imported from Australia! Ma ma is so Q!) and swiftly put her hair in a pony tail and tucked it outside her cap. Both CC and I became very excited as we watched these familiar moves. But wait - why hasn't Ma ma taken any pooh-pooh plastic bags and our leashes out? She is also not smiling at us - which usually means........she is not taking us out! Ma ma sat me down and explained to me that she cannot take me out today because it's still wet outside and unless I wanted to take another bath, I will not be allowed out till the ground dries and the rain stops for good. Luckily, Ma ma remembered to leave a big reward (Greenie bone!) behind for me. I rushed into my crate at the speed of light - almost knocking CC over.

Ma ma played 'fetch' with me when she came back (CC doesn't know how to play 'fetch' - she only knows how to play 'sit'). So at least I got to play. Ma ma told me that Kai ma has to stay home today and clean her new flat. Kai ma doesn't trust her part-time maid with her new wooden floors so she is gonna clean the floor herself.

Going for a noon nap. Oh yes, and I need to be a good girl today. Chocolate, chocolate!

A rainy Saturday

There is no free lunch. When we got home, both CC and I were a bit wet (the ground we walked on was still wet so this got our feet and legs all wet as well). Ma ma took out towels and cotton balls and we knew we could not escape our destiny of taking a BATH! I hate baths but CC is dumb - she likes anything that I hate so she doesn't mind taking baths. In fact, I think she LIKES being bathed...

Surprisingly, Ma ma did not have to go into work today. She said she has done most of her spreadsheeting last week so did not have to go in today. Whilst Ma ma typed again on her keyboard at home, me and CC decided to take a nap.

Fire at Exchange Square!

Ma ma is sick!

Dear all, I have not been able to write for some time as Ma ma is sick - this time with a flu and fever! I was very very busy nursing her. I nurse Ma ma by licking her face and making sure that she is alive when she lies on her bed. I also am very 'gwai gwai' as I would lay right next to her to make sure she is warm and snuggled up in her bed. (It was 36degrees celcius the other day, Ma ma did not turn the air cond on as she said she felt COLD - that's how ill she was!)

Before Ma ma got ill, she took me and CC out on the weekend which was lots of fun. She also took lots of pictures of me and CC - as you'll see on the side.

I hope Ma ma gets better so cos I wanna go for my walkies again. :)

Ma ma studying for her final exam!

Ma ma is at home today!

Ma ma's routine today was sleeping and going to the toilet. She checked her work emails every now and then. AND she played fetch with me as well during her lunch break.

At about 5pm, I think Ma ma finally feels a little better. She got up from her sofa bed and started taking pictures of me and CC sunbathing on her bed. This is now our daily routine. Jessie would cover the bed so that we don't make Ma ma's bed dirty.

Ma ma also spents a lot of time looking after her new plants. Pictures of the flowers on this blog as well! Ma ma gives the 'money trees' a shower once a week. She literally puts the plants into the bathtub and showers them. She says they will be happier that way because those plants are used to being 'showered' by Gung gung and Por por in Chadley Court... whatever that means!

A special mention re Ma ma's intution to take me out yesterday morning (Sat). From 11am onwards yesterday, it has been raining! If Ma ma hadn't gotten up early to take me out, then we would not have gotten to go out for a walkie at all!

Today (Sunday), Ma ma took me and CC to walk up the stairs from Tai Hang to Lai Tak Tsuen. We then walked up to Braemar Hill from there. As Ma ma has been going to the gym quite regularly, she seems a lot fitter and didn't need to make me wait for her when going up the stairs, hee hee.

We went to our favourite R&B cafe at Braemar Hill shopping centre, and of course, I got to have my plain toast. Yum! The mad dog and owner were not there - thank goodness!

Thunderstorm

Kai ma came over for dinner last night - picture of me and Kai ma on the side. I was very excited (so was CC) when we saw Kai ma - we haven't seen her for a whole week! Kai ma wanted to take me and CC out for a walkie yesterday afternoon (Sat) but the rain started again so no luck!

After dinner last night, I was a bit tired so I went and slept on Ma ma's bed. At 1am, I decided to scratch my crate and whinge because it was too stuffy and hot outside. I wanna sleep in Ma ma's room! Ma ma succumbed to my whinging and let me and CC out (after I had quieten down). I think Ma ma is gonna go and get her water cooling air cond for us today.

Walkie night, happy night

Ma ma played hide and seek with me and even though she sprayed her legs and arms thoroughly with mosquitoe repellent, she still got bitten. I watched while Ma ma's mossie bit get bigger and bigger.... Ma ma finally could not stand the heat and mossie bite and took me home after about 20mins of playtime in the park. Oh well, this was better than nothing!

Hot hot summer night

Ma ma could not bear to have us bake in our crates so she allowed me and Jie Jie Buffy to sleep in her room. Jie Jie Buffy (JJB) has a thing for crawling under the quilt - even though it is SO HOT, she still crawls under the quilt and sleeps there. Unlike JJB, I sleep next to Ma ma's shoulders, on top of the quilt.

Ma ma said she will purchase a water cooler for us so that me and JJB can sleep with ease in our crates again.

Tonight, Jessie brushed our teeth right after dinner (before Ma ma came back). I like Jessie brushing my teeth cos she brushes very lightly and doesn't brush the places that hurts. However, not knowing that Jessie has brushed our teeth again, Ma ma grabbed me after she wiped down JJB from her walkie, and brushed my teeth... for the 3rd time today! Poor me!

We're bored, ma ma!

It's a very very hot day. Last night, we had trouble sleeping because it was so hot! Tonight, while Ma ma is in her room logging into the internet, we decided to sneak onto her bed and hope we can stay...

CC was impatient and decided to go back to her own crate and play instead. I am more persistent and I stayed! Picture of me on Ma ma's bed, and CC in her crate.

Ma ma went to the gym at lunch today and picked up 2 x apples for us!! But we didn't get to eat this tonight. Maybe we'll get it for breadfast instead tomorrow....

Today is the 4th June!

Ma ma said there are lots of people gathered in Victoria Park tonight due to a 4th June related activity, and therefore, could be dangerous. So instead of taking me out for a walkie, she gave me and CC apple instead...which is almost as good! (photo of me with my new haircut, CC and apple)

Ma ma said she will go to the gym again tomorrow so that she can get another apple for us. Yepee!

Ma ma unpacked in her new office today (Ma ma's office moved to Two Exchange Square). She has a very loud and mah-fan colleague sitting next to her now, who is also from Australia. Ma ma said this colleague gives Australians a bad name.

I saw a big mushy mud paddle and was very tempted to go play in the mud. Ma ma shouted at me and stopped me before I could lay my paws in it though...

CC didn't get to go hiking with us though. Ma ma is still worried from the previous mad dog (Jess) incident, so she doesn't wanna take us both out at the same time in case she could not manage and look after both of us properly. But that's ok, CC is so tiny in size anyway - she should be able to get her daily exercise just by running around in our little flat. :)

A (less) happy Sunday...

When Ma ma took me home, I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to take a bath. Ma ma simply wiped me down and let me go!

Ma ma then went out to have lunch with her ex-colleague from Michael Page. At about 2:30pm, Ma ma came home! She took my leash out and I was SO excited! Hiking in the morning and walkie again at 2:30pm!? This is too good to be true! (even though it seemed a little odd that Ma ma would take me out at 2:30pm - she often says it's too hot to go out from 11am to 3pm, as this is a high risk period during the day when dogs could easily get a heat stroke)

So I happily trotted along with Ma ma...only to find myself end up at Conny's place! (Conny is my groomer) Ma ma, please don't leave me there!!!

Of course, Ma ma left me that and turned up 3hours later to pick me up. Yuck! I hate taking a bath, and worse of all, I hate grooming and getting my haircut.

The only GOOD thing was, I got to see Kai ma!! Kai ma came with Ma ma to pick me up from the groomer's place. Ma ma went along with Kai ma to Wanchai Lockhart Road (to purchase stuff for Kai ma's new place) while I was at the groomer's. I haven't seen Kai ma for 2 weeks! I was SO HAPPY to see Kai ma that I scratched Ma ma's neckline by accident. (I was hoping to jump from Ma ma onto Kai ma, but forgot that it's Ma ma's skin I'm stepping on...) Ma ma now has a red scratch mark on her neckline. Oops!

A quiet Saturday

Ma ma did not look well when she came back. I saw her taking her migraine tablets so I guess she must have her big bad headache again. Poor Ma ma. And poor Buff Buff!

The only resolution is - Ma ma gets a free fresh apple when she signs out from the gym, so both me and CC had apple tonight. Yum yum!

Ma ma woke up at 5:50am this morning, got changed, took the water bottle out... all ready to go for a walkie with Jie Jie Buffy. All of the sudden.......we heard the tapping sound of rain against our window, and when we looked again, the rain became a thunderstorm. So in the end, Jie Jie Buffy didn't get her walkie. On the right, you will see a photo of me sitting in front of the rainy window.

For those of you who are wondering - Ever since Jie Jie Buffy got bitten by that crazy dog (Jess, the mad Jack Russell), Ma ma has given up on taking Jie Jie Buffy and me out on walkies when she is on her own because she reckons she cannot handle both of us together. Though I KNOW it's because she is embarassed to take me out cos I bark at other dogs all the time... So on a daily basis, only JJB gets to go out on walkies.

Life after my dental visit...

Dr Lien told ma ma that I need to brush my teeth TWICE A DAY!

Can you imagine that? Twice a day! I have to be tortured twice a day. It's even worse for CC though, cos she HATES brushing her teeth a million times more than me.

I was not happy after ma ma brushed my teeth so I sneaked into ma ma's room and sat on my own couch.

Ma ma went to the gym today and she is so tired. She didn't take me out for a walkie tonight - even though she came home before 9pm. I hope she gets up early enough tomorrow so that she can take me out for a walkie.

Buffy is back! (from the dentist)

I have just returned from my dentist visit. Dr Lien spent several hours cleansing my teeth. My teeth are all white and shiny. However he did find a few teeth with decay and told Ma Ma to brush my teeth at least twice a day from now on...

You'll see pictures my my clean teeth after the dentist visit. As well as my exhausted look - lying there on my donut bed, gazing at Ma Ma. The only positive outcome is -Ma Ma gave me boiled chicken fillet for dinner tonight!

CC Home Alone

Jie Jie Buffy is now at the vet, getting her teeth cleansed. Jessie (our helper) has gone out and I'm left home alone! Luckily, Ma Ma came back for a short visit to see me.
As Jie Jie Buffy has to starve before her teeth cleansing, I didn't get to eat breakfast either until JJB left for the vet at 11am this morning!

My dreaded dental visit

Ma ma will take me to see the vet for my first time ever dental treatment tomorrow!
I cannot eat or drink after 10pm tonight and will not get home till 7pm tomorrow evening....Imagine that! Starving me for almost 24hours! Wait till GG and PP hears about this. I will not kiss Ma Ma good night today!
